Jean Paul Allain, Professor Nuclear Engineering, Lloyd & Dorothy Foehr Huck Chair in Plasma Medicine; Institute for Computational and Data Sciences – ICDS Faculty Co-Hire; Affiliate Professor of Biomedical Engineering; Associated Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Pennsylvania State University.

As from July 1, 2023 Prof. Allain is on leave from RSSEL and Penn State University under an IPA agreement with the Department of Energy leading the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences (FES). Read more here.

    At RSSEL we study the interaction of plasma and particle irradiation with inorganic and organic surfaces and interfaces from the nanoscale across the mesoscale to the macroscale. We achieve this by coupling in-situ and in-operando multi-particle and plasma-based modification.
